I didn't mention Sri Aurobindo. Savitri Era Party and Savitri Era Religion are my creation. Thus, current stands needn't match exactly with SA's views.
Rules of the game, surely, are pivotal but success, most often, is achieved by flouting them. Dishonesty, therefore, is rampant and intellectual dishonesty is a far more serious malaise. For those who talk about ethics seldom practice it in real life. Yoke of party is the culprit

I don't follow Gita nor think it's an ideal prescription for modern society. Mythological fiction can't be allowed to rule present generation. Anachronism needs to be avoided to build a global community for which Auroville is already a model. Mitra and Varuna however are relevant.
No belief is permanent or predetermined like the firmament imagined in the olden days. Given the complexity of human consciousness and destiny, imposing certain regimentation as regards religion seems absurd. Seeking uniformity is itself anomalous.
Expecting actual belief from all seemed to me as uniformity. Diversity is not just a slogan or political agenda, it's a reality; can't be wished away. @prakksy
All religions will see their demise, Sri Aurobindo has written clearly, due to growth of intellectuality. Technology and material prosperity will help accelerate the process. So, nothing to be unhappy about such a prospect. He assures a better quality of humanity and harmony.
Studying in any university can't be seen as uniformity. Further, there is no intention or expectation of imposing it. The greatest contribution of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is giving us freedom from received wisdom. Absolutely no bondage to any past narrative and no compulsion to follow any ritual. In consonance with Modernity but it goes a step further. Yoga means "your own godward adventure."
Many thanks for responding. The question, paradoxically, is who will decide whether it's a loss or a gain. I respect your sentiments but Sri Aurobindo would say otherwise. You are aware of his psychological interpretation of the Veda. He has clearly pointed out about the "loss."
Thanks for responding and good wishes for the mega event. I don't see any problem either with politics or religion. Communication, clarity, and transparency is all that is necessary. Let's hope Twitter facilitates it further and current issues are discussed in light of The Mother
Those who are drawn towards the vortex of Sanskrit texts in their youthful enthusiasm are inviting trouble for all their life. One text will lead to another and then multiple commentaries etc. would rob many pleasures and cause vertigo. Sri Aurobindo's English translations safer.
A regime change is in the offing and RSS might rebrand itself as Rashtriya Chowkidar Congress. The word Sanghi has become associated with too many negative connotations and hence is likely to be dropped. Similarly, appropriating the Congress space has been a dream and a priority.
Hindutva is less about religious sentiments and more about spectacle, grandure, and carnival in the sense of Rabelais and Bakhtin. Although, such a socially useful set of activities can't be disputed, The Mother & Sri Aurobindo would prefer more inward gaze involving aim of life.

From the Market point of view, nothing is actually a loss and other sections are bound to benefit by multiplier effect. Like any upsurge in Chinese or US economy is bound to bring some advantage to India. Hence looking through this lens of religious-divide is basically erroneous.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are the leaders of Evolution. They are firmly in charge of the welfare of the entire humanity. They don't distinguish between nations or religions. They are working for Supramental manifestation. All must try to understand the significance of this task.
Why it's that people don't refer to Sri Aurobindo singly? He is always surrounded by 3-4 other names. This implies lack of precision. Also, posing of erudition though lacking in depth. But, many do it deliberately to downplay his greatness as if there's nothing special about him.
Unfollowed many #Chowkidar handles during the last two days. History and hatred are their dominant theme with nothing new or inspiring to tell. Some of them, however, are now acutely aware of the intellectual poverty of Modi who used to be imagined as a superhero five years back.
Rationalism has its limits; both Science and Sri Aurobindo admit it, but that doesn't mean we abdicate rationalism as a society. Astrology, Mythology & Rituals are corrupting minds for generations. Aim of education is to nurture Critical Reason and invite Modernity to all spheres
From Veda to SAVITRI, Sri Aurobindo emphasises upon how to overcome death and disease by accessing higher echelons of consciousness. But most here insist that he wanted India to be a superpower. Such a pathetic state of reception of his sublime vision in #ARYA100Years (1914-21) !
