Sri Aurobindo points out that the real evolutionary force is supramental

What yoga can teach us

The Hindu-20-Jun-2019 ... Murli Manohar Joshi
When Darwin discovered the process of evolution, a series of new philosophies came to be developed. But none of these philosophies has the thoroughness of the evolutionary philosophy of Indian sages that bridges the gulfs between matter and life, and life and mind, and of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy of evolution from mind to supermind. In fact, he reverses the entire process of evolution and points out that the real evolutionary force is not material but supramental in character, and that matter itself is nothing but a mode of the supermind. He thus bridges, like the Vedic rishis, the three great oceans of existence — the inconscient, conscient, and superconscient. This is extremely refreshing, and one feels a kind of rejuvenation of thought and life.
I can see clearly the interconnection between Sri Aurobindo’s vision of a world union of free nations, the vision of a spiritualised society, and the vision of integral humanism based on a holistic vision of universe. I feel that probably a new alternative of the present moulds of thought is now being built in the world.

One of the features of Bankim Da's novels, has been the very strong women characters in them. Be it Kapalakundala, Durgesh Nandini, Devi Chaudharani or Kalyani in Anandamath, he created some of the most memorable women characters in Indian literature.

Progress is lovely : Aldous Huxley. The world in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World is not focused on family, love, and success - but instead focused around industry, economy, and technologic growth and improvement. The citizens are not concerned with themselves as individuals; they
Have been conditioned to see the world as a collective and technologically oriented. Medical advancement & educational standardisation prevail. The novel is a dangerously accurate prophesy of technology’s capacity to dominate society, and how this domination is silently changing the goals, moralities, and values of our culture.
The democracy of individual growth and personal spirituality is eliminated. technology can both create distractions and communicate forms of propaganda, enabling small groups of people who are most powerful to control society and limit freedom.

Sri Aurobindo said, India is not suited for a centralised governance like Europe, one state power monitoring the country, instead smaller units taking control of things. We are more of a culture where people can live freely, express freely, grow freely.

Sri Aurobindo was well conversant with major schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. So undertaking fresh comparison is pointless. Even comparative studies with Western thinkers by S.K. Maitra is not very fruitful. Postmodernism is the only area which challenges Sri Aurobindo

Ignorance lies in us in the form of thoughts. That is how it is explicable. Everything that is explicable lies as opposites i.e. like a lawyer you can argue the same thing to opposite conclusions.  So much so ignorance can only be removed by thought process called 'Vichara'.

If you realize that the objective world (that includes your body and mind) is the content of your intelligence then you realize that these contents appear and disappear and thus are unreal while your intelligence has always been there as a container with or without the content.
What appears and disappears is timebound and thus unreal whereas that which is eternal i.e. that which has no beginning and no end is timeless and Real.
That intelligence to which all things of the universe is content, know that Intelligence as You, the Self which is one without a second!

The authority of a political leader depends on his capacity to feel and express the sentiments of the people who follow him; it does not reside in himself. He holds his position because he is a representative man, not because he is such and such an individual. Ulysses by James Joyce shares a similar pattern in the way of narrative ,but Ulysses borrows from history&mythology, not exactly tantra,Philosophy &science like nigurananda. Btw I realised this now, nigurananda may well be considered a mild 'streams of consciousness' writer

Gebser's "universal way of looking at things" implies a "Universal Humanity" capable of such holistic and integral perception (*sub specie aeternitatis", as they say). This is Blake's "Albion", and the same is Aurobindo's "supramental consciousness". The same is Iain McGilchrist's "Master" mode of perception/attention.
