Savitri Era to replace all other religions

Assorted tweets:

There is no prestige in climbing Everest anymore. The farce of scaling a false honour is in the heart of many futile pursuits. Prestige becomes worthless when a society becomes so fair anyone can achieve it. My column https://t.co/U9zfxBx66L

Prestige in India migrates the moment there are equal opportunities to achieve it. But millions are unaware that prestige is not prestigious anymore and they suffer those sham doctorates; those phoney novels; those dreary entrance exams.

Sri Aurobindo said, India is not suited for a centralised governance like Europe, one state power monitoring the country, instead smaller units taking control of things. We are more of a culture where people can live freely, express freely, grow freely.

I believe that size alone shouldn't be d driving factor. Cultural &  linguistic homogeneity with minimal viability check could be the deciding factors so that our richness, diversity and vitality of culture is maintained. Eg. Splitting TN into 3 areas makes sense but no further.

Thondai is too small to be a viable contributor to culture of overall region. Just like Pondicherry hasn't added any  cultural value (whatever uniqueness there was due to Sri Aurobindo ashram / Auroville and French influence) and is mismanaged.

5. We are oppressed with an Iron clad secular socialist constitution that cannot be changed of this fundamental character even by parliament.  We cannot save Dharma without overthrowing this constitution.  All political parties, Congress, BJP et al swear by this constitution.

One that comes to mind is Sri Aurobindo's very short piece, 'Philosophy', where he begins by contrasting 'the knowledge which a man of intellect prefers' to 'a more active and mundane curiosity'. It's in the collection Essays Divine and Human, but may also be published elsewhere.

Dada, one small correction. ".... Perhaps the only way of making Mahomedans harmless is to make them lose their fanatic faith in their religion." #SriAurobindo These are the exact words.

Sri @RaghuveerBelur, I took the reference from 'The Concept of Hindu Nation' by Abhas Chatterjee. After seeing your tweet, I consult online edn of 'Evening Talks with Sri Aurobindo' by AB Purani https://t.co/BCyku0JaCs
Many thanks to u 4 pointing out the error in my tweet.

Sri Aurobindo was well conversant with major schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. So undertaking fresh comparison is pointless. Even comparative studies with Western thinkers by S.K. Maitra is not very fruitful. Postmodernism is the only area which challenges Sri Aurobindo

The life and mythology around The Mother & Sri Aurobindo has Hitler as a key figure like any epic and this new religion is to replace all other religions. Understanding this basic fact is necessary for right appreciation of their work. Those clinging to Hindutva need to wake up.

Beyond a point this sort of quantum physics reads the same as theology to me, and I mean that in the sense that both are damn interesting: https://t.co/u1VxSNG2e7

“Man ‘re-creates,’ ‘discovers’ God in himself & out of himself, simply because God has ‘created’, has ‘discovered’ him so. He discovers the God he wants & needs, because he has been made a ‘God-wanting’ & a ‘God-needing’ creature.”

There are some interesting connections here to what Kripal calls the “Filter Thesis”

Finally finished @rchops book, The Virtual Hindu Rashtr! He explains the fundamentals of hindutva and then speaks in detail about early internet companies which help spread this disease, gender politics, subdugation of mintories, social media, media houses n a lot more.

He supports his arguments with a lot of references like a true academic. Also draws parallels between Modi's govt, historical events and other global developments. What a great read!

Markets do not run by the principle of one person one vote, but by voting rights proportional to one’s ownership of capital. This principle is leaching into democracies: @vargheseKgeorge writes on India, Hindutva & the invisible hand of market (national). https://t.co/v2YBr7ANtf

Elements of national pride, incl anthem, army, instns, even cricket will be equated with govt, or worse Hindutva, or the BJP and worst still the duo of Modi and Shah. Failings of opp. govts will be exaggerated whereas failings of this regime will be suppressed from public view.

Why are the oppn falling for the “we are at fault, time for soul searching” agenda, planted so meticulously by the Sanghis? Isn’t it time that the oppn took over from the liberal voices and started asking qns of the govt? Isn’t it time that they started ground level uprising?

"Under Modi-II," Ram Madhav writes, metaphorically rubbing his hands with relish, "the remnants of that cartel need to be discarded from the country's academic, cultural and intellectual landscape." https://t.co/3iknbFdc6k

Good 'transformative' leadership does not beat about the bush or resort to doublespeak and thus need not take defensive postures and resort to subterfuges.
It must be driven by the fearless courage of its convictions in the cause. It must play straight with people. @PMOIndia

That's why a game should be treated as a game. And not a war. Win some, lose some, the better team won today. No need to go all Ghalib over it bro. Cheers :) https://t.co/KXczUnicer

“Every life is in many days, day after day. We walk through ourselves, meeting robbers, ghosts, giants, old men, young men, wives, widows, brothers-in-love, but always meeting ourselves.”
