Position held by other AchAryas too. As an aside Ramanuja anticipates Paley's watchmaker argument and refutes centuries before Paley.
https://twitter.com/RangaTheDude/status/1145569366311751680?s=19
Naiyyayikas claim existence of Ishvara can be logically proved. They use pot-maker pot analogy. Exact same watchmaker argument. "You come across a a watch in a heath. You know someone dropped it there. At least one watchmaker made it and it didn't come about naturally"
In modern terms "intelligent design". You see the world and it's intricate design. Hence an intelligent designer should have been a cause.
Ramanuja's refutation is thus (loosely paraphrasing): a pot may imply a pot maker but a cart implies a different person - the cart maker.
Infinite categories. Hence infinite creator Gods which is absurd for naiyyayikas who set out to prove single creator God.

Start with tarkasangraha before outraging. Not translations but from a practitioner. I did from a vidvan from Tirupati. Without basics no use in discussing further.

Its absurd to go into historicity of Ramayana and Mahabharat। All those dating today simply cherry pick from texts.
Hardly any common hindu cares for dating. Most involved in these acts simply want to impress the academia. ऐसे करके कुछ difference आयेगा?
https://twitter.com/Aadii009/status/1145359670187397120?s=19
Wen I said this, many took it in wrong way. Historicity of Rama or Pandvas doesn't matter. But one must not shy away from countering wrong translations, fake narratives of west, fake dates of their compositions. But remember your faith is not dependent solely on it. https://t.co/H8sUbkMbuh
https://twitter.com/Aadii009/status/1145535453510033408?s=19
We have nothing to do with date of राम or महाभारत। We need such studies only to counter fake narratives set up by west. Even if राम never existed historically, the तत्व various राम चरितs propagate has been lived and experienced by ancestors. That तत्व is goal. +
https://twitter.com/Aadii009/status/1139227542362025984?s=19
That तत्व today can be preserved if we preserve the tradition, the temples, the principle of shruti as expounded by परंपरा। If we love our civilisation, we should unapologetically preserve them, without pandering to the west.
But rise above शूकर मुख mentality of historians.

People should realize that it was known even in the days of Aryabhatta etc that such things in the Puranas were inaccurate, and see how H of the time dealt with them rather than seeking to emulate Ms and Xtians.

I just want to say one thing in response to this: https://t.co/IaqJt5zrjl
This is what I’m trying to get at.
Setting aside literal for another interpretation /=/ Disregarding the text. Believing in a literal interpretation /=/ superior piety/shraddhA
https://twitter.com/GhorAngirasa/status/1145559756980936705?s=19
If you want to believe that, no problem at all. I’m just saying that the opposite perspective also comes from a place of deep piety; from the mouths of great AcAryas & mUlashAstras. I think it is wrong to imply that believing in a literal version makes one more pious than them.

My language will change if some people stop trolling others for expressing different opinions or wanting to read & think. It is evident that some people take immense pride in philistinism. Not a problem. They should refrain from discussions & spare others their wisdom. https://t.co/nqq3Vh1OLr

India has acted like the pious and chaste Sati and Savitri. Geopolitics and diplomacy are not the place to practise chastity and piety – it is a place where nations use guile, deception and Vish Kanyas – the Indian equivalent of honey traps https://t.co/38lfRaigOQ

Hobbes noted the BASIS for human equality: no human being, no matter how virtuous, gifted, talented, rich, or anything else, cannot be killed by another human being, who is armed.
We can all be violently killed. THEREFORE we are all fundamentally EQUAL.

Treating a religion as if it were a foreign loyalty, and its adherent as if it disqualifies them for government positions, is a Marxist-Leninist tactic that led to persecution of all religions under Stalin.
Anti-Tulsi hate has led to smearing an American Muslim org as loyal to Assad, American Hindu orgs as loyal to Modi, a Bhakti Yoga organization as if its founder is a Bond villain, and now, as if health food stores & Yoga are spreading mind-control contagions. Ppl are being crazy.

No. We don't get to relativize away caste violence. As I tell me students, white supremacy has nothing on brahminical varna ideology or the material oppression of caste on either longevity or the continued lack of stigma In India.
As long as politics remains driven by divisive cultural topics, like religion and jingoism, reforms that improve the quality of everyday life and create opportunities shall gain a backseat. The youngsters have the most to lose. 2/3 https://t.co/B9wH0LnOeq

A note on one aspect of haoma ritual: Prelude to crushing of hom twigs:
The context is this: The zaotar priest (hota) has purified the haoma twigs (soma) and beginning the ceremony of preparing the haoma juice and filtering it. Metallic mortar (hAvana) and pestle (lAle) is used
https://twitter.com/RangaTheDude/status/1145512228939948032?s=19
to crush the twigs after sprinkling with zaotra (hotra) water. Now, before the actual crushing, the zaotar performs this ceremony. He recites "aêtat dim vîspanãm mazishtem dazdyâi ahûmca" and touches the stone slab with lower end of the pestle. With ""ratûmca ýim ahurem mazdãm"

Sri Aurobindo's thoughts seems to have been heavily influenced by Western philosophers. Ultimately what Wilber attempts to do is provide a meta-view of general truths.
You should also note that Spiral Dynamics came from the empirical observations of Professor Clare Graves.
