Tusarji, as you have rightly pointed out , this is one of the greatest tragedies of our educational system that Sri Aurobindo has been totally eclipsed from the educational curriculum. The reason is predominantly political, Sri Aurobindo harmonises & our present tribes of politician are busy dividing & splintering therefore they find him to inconvenient to be projected.
There is another category the politically patronised intelligentia - these species lack depth & width & have mostly a uni-dimensional thought process. They find it difficult to understand Sri Aurobindo & when they do they simply plagiarise his thoughts. There is another category of politicians who use him to suit there grooved position & thus freely quote from a part of his writings while conveniently omitting the larger whole.
I think an open debate must begin on the issue & as you said Savitri Erans, instead of lamenting the omission must step up the offensive for inclusion. Sri Aurobindo's programme if implemented can make the country very strong, very strong is what Mother had categorically stated & inclusion of his thoughts in educational system is imperative & the first step towards a greater resurgence. We have complained for too long & it has changed nothing, we have to act now! 9:48 AM
